Beginning Saturday, September 27, The Clown School and Second City Hollywood launch their first collaborative Clowning Level 1 class at Second City's training center in Hollywood, taught by seasoned Clown School performer and instructor Zachary Steel. The class aims to open up the honest and

physical world of the clown, and invites participants to explore and expose the inner capacity to be creative via one's most ridiculous self.

"The work that is the focus of The Clown School is integral to well-rounded training... If you find yourself in a position to study with them - do it! I have seen the results, and it's transformational," exclaims Jayd McCarty, Director of The Studio in New York. And of the class, Artistic Director David Bridel explains, "We base our work in the discipline of clown because we believe that clowning embraces and celebrates the totality of the human experience and offers unparalleled freedom in art. We love to play!"

Second City specializes in sketch comedy and improv and has been delighting audiences for over 50 years. They have resident companies in Chicago and Toronto as well as National Touring Companies and casts on NCL cruises. Their comedy training centers in Chicago, Toronto, and Hollywood have launched the careers of countless stars of stage and screen.
