Summer at the Saint Paul Conservatory of Music gets into full swing on July 6 with its annual camp, the Children's Music Workshop, a St. Paul institution for over fifteen years. Campers ages 6-12 will fill the historic Exchange Building and spill out into the McNally Smith courtyard for lunch, breaks, and impromptu concerts for mid-day passersby. Conservatory faculty provide inspiration through classes in music history, theory, choir and a choice of electives, while guest artists from all over the Twin Cities provide performance and hands-on experiences at the end of each camp day. The Workshop concludes on July 16 and 17 with two final concerts showcasing the hard work and imaginative creations of fifty campers, counselors and staff; come to hear our free performances which this year includes an original composition by former camper and counselor, Will Robertson!
