Piffaro, The Renaissance Band is honored to be selected to represent the Renaissance in Deutsche Grammophon's massive new "History of Classical Music" box set. Piffaro's debut recording for DG's Archiv label, 1995's Canzoni e Danze: Wind Music from Renaissance Italy, is the third in a 100-disc series that spans Gregorian chant to Philip Glass and recording artists from Trevor Pinnock and The English Concert to Daniel Barenboim and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to Pierre Boulez and his Ensemble Intercontemporain.

Information about the full "History of Classical Music" box set can be found at http://www.deutschegrammophon.com/en/album/history-of-classical-music/home.html

Piffaro next performs in Philadelphia and Delaware March 28-30, 2014, in a program celebrating the music that inspired Shakespeare. Visit http://www.piffaro.org or call 215-235-8469 for more information.
