New Westchester Symphony Orchestra (NewWSO) presents its Fourth Annual MESSIAH SING-ALONG at The Briarcliff Congregational Church in Briarcliff Manor, NY.

NewWSO is an audition-free, community orchestra based in White Plains, NY. Membership in the orchestra is open to musicians of all ages and abilities. Many musicians have come back to playing their instruments after taking years or decades off.

The annual MESSIAH SING-ALONG is an opportunity for members of the community who enjoy singing to share in NewWSO's music-making. Similar to a traditional Messiahsing, audience members sing-along to the familiar choruses from Handel's great work.

NewWSO's sing-along is unique in that choruses from all three parts of Messiah will be played, rather than only choruses from part one. Also, audience members will have the opportunity to sing select arias which are usually reserved for soloists. At this event, everyone can be a soloist.

It is also rare to find a sing-along with full orchestra accompaniment. NewWSO has created a joyous new tradition for the holiday season by bringing together instrumentalists and singers in an afternoon of community-created music.

The event takes place on Sunday, December 6, 2016, 3-5PM at The Briarcliff Congregational Church, 30 S. State Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510. Tickets are only $10, which includes optional vocal score rental. Children under age 8 are free. The event will last 2 hours with a short intermission.
