The Nevenka East European Folk Ensemble will perform at Atwater Crossing on July 21st. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience an evening of world music in an intimate cabaret setting. Enjoy an eclectic mix of musical gems from a variety of Eastern European cultures – Bulgarian, Georgian, Bosnian, Sephardic, Armenian, Macedonian and Rom.

Nevenka is a Los Angeles-based women's folk chorus. The group was founded by singers who share a common interest in the complex harmonies and intricate, compelling rhythms typical of Balkan music. Very much in the Eastern European tradition, Nevenka includes women of all ages making music together.

ATX, as Atwater Crossing is known, is at the heart of a newly developing part of Atwater. The area, which is home to many budding creative ventures in music, theater and the visual arts, also boasts innovative architectural and commercial projects. ATX is at 3245 Casitas Avenue, LA 90039, conveniently located near I-5 just south of Los Feliz.

The show begins at 8 PM and tickets are $10. Food, beer and wine will be available. Seating is limited, so for advance tickets, visit www.nevenka.org. ATX can be reached at 323.284.8265 or www.atwatercrossing.com.
