Netanel Draiblate to Perform Concerto with Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, Today

ANNAPOLIS, MD - ASO Concertmaster, Netanel Draiblate will perform Antonín Dvo?ák's Concerto for Violin in the next set of Lexus Classic Series concerts with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 8pm. Music Director José-Luis Novo will also conduct the orchestra in the Petite Suite originally composed by Claude Debussy and orchestrated by Henri Büsser, and Symphony No. 3 by Johannes Brahms.

Hailed as "an extremely gifted violinist," Netanel Draiblate's performances as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, and concertmaster give ample evidence of his versatility. This season's highlights include concerto appearances with the Brasilia Concert Society Orchestra, Lancaster Symphony, Lake Forest Symphony and Annapolis Symphony. Recent solo engagements include the American Symphony at Carnegie Hall, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, and Turkey's Bursa Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Draiblate has collaborated with Pinchas Zukerman, Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman, among others, and is a member of the PostClassical Ensemble.

Concert tickets range in price from $38 to $68, and $13 for students. Tickets are available online at www.annapolissymphony.org, by calling the ASO at 410-263-0907 or by visiting the office in Room 204 at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis, Monday through Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm.

All ticket holders are invited to attend a free pre-concert lecture in the auditorium at 6:45pm led by British pianist and lecturer Dr. Rachel Franklin. These entertaining talks enhance the concert experience by providing historical and insightful perspectives on the repertoire.

Funding for the ASO is generously provided by Elizabeth Richebourg Rea, ezStorage, Baltimore / Annapolis Lexus Dealers, the Maryland State Arts Council, Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, and Friends of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. These concerts are presented with the support of 1North Wealth Services.

The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra features 70 professional musicians who perform a variety of symphonic music for audiences of all ages. Additionally, the non-profit organization provides educational programs through its partnerships with local schools, and various other community outreach efforts.
