The New York Philharmonic Ensembles chamber music series will feature musicians from the Orchestra in a series of six concerts at Merkin Concert Hall during the 2015-16 season.

The series, which allows audiences to experience the artistry of the Philharmonic's virtuosos in an intimate setting, will feature various ensemble configurations performing repertoire both familiar and unexpected -- including works by Arensky, Brahms, Dvorak, Martinu, Poulenc, Shostakovich, and more -- and a performance by The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence Eric Owens.

The 2015-16 New York Philharmonic Ensembles series will begin on October 25, featuring works by Poulenc, David Amram, Rachmaninoff, Handel, and Mendelssohn; and featuring Artist-in-Residence Eric Owens. The series will continue on December 6, January 17, February 14, April 17, and May 29 -- all on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 p.m.

Since 1984 the Philharmonic Ensembles series has presented diverse programming of both classical masterpieces and modern compositions. Ensembles concerts are also offered on the Orchestra's international and domestic tours, on separate chamber music tours, and at locations throughout New York City.

Subscriptions go on sale July 7, 2015. For more information call the Merkin Concert Hall Box Office at (212) 501-3330, or online at merkinconcerthall.org.
