Jason C. Tramm, artistic director and principal conductor of the Morristown based MidAtlantic Opera will serve as guest conductor for the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble's Annual Winter concert at the historic Julia Richman Auditorium, Sunday December 13th at 3PM.

The repertoire for the program, selected by Tramm, showcases the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble orchestra in works by Italian, German and Russian composers Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi , Wilhelm Richard Wagner and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, each a titan of the Romantic Era.

The concert entitled "Fire and Pasion" begins with the overture to Verdi's opera La Forza del Destino, followed by Votan's aria Abschied und Feuerzauber from Wagner's opera Die Walküre, sung by guest soloist, bass Valerian Ruminski and concludes with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74, popularly known as the "Pathétique."

Mr. Ruminski, who recently sang the role of Sparafucile under the baton of Maestro Tramm in the MidAtlantic Opera's 2014 production of Rigoletto, has performed on many prominent stages in the US and abroad in roles which include Zuniga in the Metropolitan Opera's production of Carmen, Albert in La Juive at Carnegie Hall, and with the Collegiate Chorale in a radio broadcast of 'Jupiter in Argos' by Handel at Avery Fisher Hall in NYC. Valerian's 2012/13 season included his debut as a Wagnerian basso as Daland in The Flying Dutchman for Calgary Opera, and repeat engagements for Opera Lyra Ottawa as the Sacristan in Tosca and The Bonze in Madama Butterfly.

Guest conductor Jason Tramm has gained regional recognition as a conductor of opera and choral works over the past decade. Noted productions under his baton as Director of Music in Residence of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, as well as Artistic Director and principal conductor for the NJ State Opera and the MidAtlantic Opera, and a world premiere of the Gershwin's Porgy and Bess in Tirana, Albania, received critical acclaim. Tramm's 2009 HDTV broadcast presentation with PBS affiliate NJN, Verdi Requiem: Live from Ocean Grove garnered a regional Emmy Award nomination.

In October 2015 Tramm made his Carnegie Hall conducting debut in "A Prayer for Peace" featuring the works of Behzad Ranjbaran (Elegy for Cello and Strings), Bernstein (Chichester Psalms), Vaughan Williams (Dona Nobis Pacem) and Adnan Saygun (Selections from Yunis Emre). Recently appointed Artistic Advisor and Conductor of the Adelphi Chamber Orchestra (Oradell, NJ), Tramm will conduct three performances in the company's 2015-16 season, including a June 9th Gala performance at Merkin Hall.
