Jason C. Tramm and the Adelphi Orchestra were honored by Assemblyman Scott T. Rumana at the Carl Pfeifer Performing Arts Center in Bergen County with a Ceremonial Resolution on behalf of the New Jersey legislature.

Assemblyman Scott T. Rumana was joined by Cynthia Forster, Director of Bergen County's Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs, a long- time supporter of Adelphi Orchestra's artistic programming, in a brief ceremony prior to the concert.

In his address Assemblyman Rumana conveyed New Jersey Senate President Stephen Sweeney and Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver's message that the orchestra's "exemplary efforts in seeking and achieving excellence have earned the Adelphi Orchestra's leaders and musicians the high regard of the NJ Legislature and the people of this State." The Ceremonial Resolution cited the "respect and admiration by fellow members of the arts community", the orchestra's "dedication to its artistic mission of bringing its impressive musical skills and talents to audiences of all ages and backgrounds, often offering concerts free of charge" and the Adelphi Orchestra's Young Artist Competition "which gives youth spirited competitions, scholarships and performance opportunities" and "meritorious record of service and commitment to its audiences" as reasons for its commendation.

Accepting the award on behalf of the orchestra was Adelphi Artistic Advisor and Baroque Festival Concert conductor, Jason C. Tramm and AO Executive Director and violinist Sylvia Rubin. Tramm, also serves as Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Morristown based MidAtlantic Opera, Music Director of the Ocean Grove CMA summer music program at the Great Auditorium and is an Assistant Professor, College of Communication and the Arts at Seton Hall University, and has worked with and conducted the Adelphi Orchestra in performances throughout New Jersey. In his role as Artistic Director, Tramm's artistic leadership has merited both the Adelphi Orchestra and MidAtlantic Opera a 2016 People's Choice nomination in their respective divisions. In his previous appointment Tramm's artistic leadership has led to three consecutive first place honors for the New Jersey State Opera during the New Jersey People's Choice Award's 8 year history.
