Tonight, the Houston Symphony will present Video Games Live, an interactive multimedia concert experience featuring music from the most popular video games of all time. Recently described by the New York Times as "Captivating!" and "Bombastic!" guest conductor Emmanuel Fratianni and host Tommy Tallarico will bring the number one touring video game concert in the world back to the Houston Symphony. This immersive concert event features an all new program with music from Pokemon, Skyrim, Super Smash Bros, Zelda, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy and over 30 additional games combined with exclusive synchronized video, music arrangements, lighting and audience interactive experiences.

Whether it's the power and passion of the more recent blockbusters or the nostalgia brought on from hearing the classic games of their childhood, the Video Games Live concert experience promises to be a special night to remember for the entire family. Created by the video game industry to encourage and support the art and culture that video games have become, the performance bridges a gap for entertainment by exposing new generations of music lovers and fans to the symphonic orchestral experience while also providing a completely new and unique experience for families and non-gamers.

Open to all ticket holders, pre and post-concert events include a costume contest, Guitar Hero competition and a meet-and-greet with top composers, designers, voice actors and performers of the game industry. Come for a celebration of video games the entire family will enjoy.

During the 2013-14 Season, the Houston Symphony celebrates its 100th year as one of America's leading orchestras with a full complement of concert, community, education, touring and recording activities. The Houston Symphony is one of the oldest performing arts organizations in Texas whose inaugural performance was held at The Majestic Theater in downtown Houston on June 21, 1913. Today, with an annual operating budget of $30.4 million, the full-time ensemble of 87 professional musicians is the largest performing arts organization in Houston, presenting more than 280 concerts for 280,000 people, including 84,000 children, annually.
