Carnegie Hall to Welcome Violinist Leonidas Kavakos and Pianist Yuja Wang, 11/22

On Saturday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, violinist Leonidas Kavakos collaborates with pianist Yuja Wangon a recital program including Brahms's Violin Sonata No. 2 in A Major, Op. 100; Schumann's Violin Sonata No. 2 in D Minor, Op. 121; Ravel's Violin Sonata (posthumous); and Respighi's Violin Sonata.

The concert by Mr. Kavakos and Ms. Wang will be the third live concert to be webcast for free in 2014 through a new partnership between Carnegie Hall and medici.tv. Following each live webcast in the four-concert series in November and December, free replay will be available to online audiences on medici.tv for another 90 days, playable worldwide on all internet-enabled devices. In March 2014, Mr. Kavakos and Ms. Wang released a recording of Brahms's complete violin and piano sonatas.

Ms. Wang returns to Carnegie Hall on Thursday, December 11 at 8:00 p.m. for a solo recital of works by Balakirev, Scriabin, and Schubert.
