Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Presents THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: SYMPHONY OF THE GODDESSES Tonight

Maestra Eímear Noone leads the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses tonight, July 27 at 8 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The program will feature melodies from Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and more. Fan-favorite scenes from the games will also flash on a jumbo screen above the stage for audience members to view. Please see below for complete program details.

Selling more copies than Avatar and Titanic combined, Zelda has been a fan-favorite since its inception in 1986. Over 62 million copies of the video game have been sold, and its popularity has spurred a book series, morning cartoons and even a breakfast cereal. The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses brings Nintendo composer and sound director Koji Kondo's music to life as the first video game themed concert to feature a four movement symphony.

The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses has already captured the attention of Zelda fans worldwide. Producing sold-out shows across the country, the music and visuals come together to create an enthralling performance encapsulating 25 years of original Zelda music.

Eímear Noone, conductor
Eímear Noone is an Irish composer/conductor resident in Malibu, California, who splits her time between video games, feature ?lms, TV, commercials, classical repertoire and teaching conducting.

Arguably the world's current premier conductor of video game scores (both in the studio and in the concert hall), her credits include the most respected in the genre such as, "World of Warcraft," "Starcraft II," and most recently, "Diablo III." Just released by Blizzard Games this past May, "Diablo III" smashed the record in game sales by selling more than 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours alone. It also just won the 2012 GDC award for best audio - which includes the award for music, and the 2012 Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Original Score.

Currently, Ms. Noone is touring as the conductor for "The Zelda Symphony," a full four-movement symphony created from the themes from the iconic video game, "Zelda." The concert has continually held sold out concerts around the world with orchestras such as The Dallas Symphony, The Royal Philharmonic, The Colorado Symphony, The Pittsburgh Symphony and more.

In 2011, Ms. Noone recorded the "Zelda Symphony 25th Anniversary CD," released by Nintendo as part of their newest Zelda game, "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword." She also conducted for the series of 3D music videos which Nintendo filmed during the actual recording sessions for this Zelda game - the first time a game score had been filmed in 3D. The videos have garnered millions of YouTube viewings.
