RESTON, Va.

Acclaimed author Roué Hupsel returns to the literary world with the release of his latest novel titled "The Second Coming" (published by AuthorHouse). In a fast-moving, brilliantly orchestrated narrative, Hupsel envisions a primordial evil that not only threatens the survival of mankind but the very foundation of humanity.

In "The Second Coming," an American scholar discovers a mysterious clay tablet dating back to Ancient Sumer. The inscriptions on the artifact allude to the "return of the gods," strange, powerful beings responsible for the creation of mankind. Their second coming, however, has more sinister undercurrents as it is revealed that these entities are determined to annihilate the human race. Thrust at the center of the action is the scholar's son who, with the help of a wise Indian Shaman, must find a way to save mankind from its fate.

From ancient Mesopotamia through the present day United States, "The Second Coming" will take readers on a gripping journey suffused with religious intrigue and supernatural terror. This novel, unfolding in apocalyptic dimensions, is a startling, unforgettable vision of humanity's past and future as only Hupsel can imagine.
