If you're wondering how Santa did it, or are planning next year's Christmas events - check the Epic Poem version of "SANTA AND SONS and daughter!" Turns out Santa has a family. Two sons, Nicholas and Klaus plus daughter, Sandy Claus. She has her own talking Anti-gravity sleigh named Blaise and falls in love with Zwerkin, the inventor of a Teleportation Device that helps Santa get into houses without sleighs. The villain, Snavely wears a black Santa-suit and tries to take over.

Based on the indie film musical, the Epic Poem is available on iBooks now. Visit www.bit.ly/EpicPoem to view sample pages and purchase the $.99 download. The digital edition includes four different ways of presenting the piece. First, the "original" version is meant to be read by one person, or several people taking turns. Second, is a "Readers Theater" style with characters reading different lines in an action-packed rendition. Third and fourth versions are color-coded by characters with one using scrolling windows to 'swipe' through the content whereas in the other you turn 'pages.' There are links if you wish to print on paper rather than read from iPads or other mobile devices.

There is also a Bonus Section that includes pictures from the movie. Costumes, set designs and notes provide ideas for your presentations and also fun viewing for youngsters and teachers. One song, "Teleporting" is also included. Creative Drama and Literature classes will find much to explore.

"The Poem is designed to inspire reading and imagination. Santa is an epic character and the challenge of delivering toys around the world, especially when confronted by an obsessed arch-rival makes for exciting story-telling," says author Robert Battaile.

"In the classroom or in a small auditorium, you can add simple costumes and get everyone involved. Art classes can do renditions of the various set locations in the story and change them as the poem is read."

Battaile worked for two years at the Austin Independent School District's Communication Center back in the 80's when the movie and eventual Epic Poem were begun. Currently, he lives in Napa Valley, California. In 2013, he released the cd "zymphonix" by Robert B+ and published his first iBook "Tootster's Amazing Adventure" just a few months ago.
