REDWOOD CITY, Calif.

What was supposed to be an entertaining diversion quickly turned into a nightmare for Bo Granger. Flying his drone as a pastime, he accidentally catches a video of a woman being murdered, setting a series of complicated events that trap him in a dilemma between right and wrong. In Pete Liebengood's newest thriller fiction, readers are hurled into a world of power, crime and occasional laughter as Bo struggles to resolve the consequences of his "Accidental Droning."

"Accidental Droning" (published by Xlibris) follows Bo Granger, former country club golf shop manager and husband of a California gubernatorial candidate. After losing his job, he turned to flying his drone for recreation. But not falling short of misfortunes, his life swings three-sixty as he accidentally captures a video of a woman being drowned; not to mention the woman of an influential and powerful man who threatens him harm should he confide his evidence with the police. On top of that, he worries that his invasion of privacy will derail his wife's campaign to become governor of California as she is defined as a state legislator by her privacy platform.

Bo endures a series of misadventures as he wrestles with doing the right thing. He is nearly shot to death by a goon hired by the dead woman's husband, falsely charged with sexual assault by his wife's housekeeper in a dirty politics scheme and gets involved in a torrid romance with a female newspaper reporter who is determined to get the story of a lifetime.

A zany romp through a well-plotted mystery, "Accidental Droning" provides a humorous and fast-paced treat for those who find books a great source of entertainment. More importantly, it familiarizes the reader on the legislative issues attached to the fast-trending hobby of droning and its implications to society's oft-coveted need for privacy.
