Orrin Woodward Holds Guinness World Record for World's Largest Book Signing
Orrin Woodward, 'New York Times' bestselling author who has sold more than 1 million copies of his books, is now the proud owner of a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the World's Largest Book Signing. As a result of the book signing event held on June 21, 2014 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, Woodward now holds the record for the most books signed by one author at a single event. He was able to sign 6,786 copies of his new book, 'And Justice for All,' in 6 hours and 33 minutes, breaking the previous record of 4,649 books signed in just under 12 hours.
As seen on a previous news release, Orrin Woodward was determined to break the existing record for the Largest Book Signing. Members of the Columbus press were there to cover the event and interview him, and an official from Guinness World Records Limited was also on hand to announce his record and award him his new title as seen at http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/1/largest-book-signing.
Through its publishing arm, Obstaclés Press, Mr. Woodward's LIFE Leadership organization recently partnered with Next Century Publishing to produce Woodward's new book and sponsor the event. As Chairman of the Board for LIFE Leadership, Mr. Woodward represents both the organization and its publishing division.
