One can look to a dictionary for definitions of the words "good" and "quality," but today their meaning has become muddied through subjectivity. Can a truly objective definition of quality be found? And where can it be applied?

Quality control engineer Spiro V. Haxhi has worked with this concept in mind for over 40 years. He has finally come up with equations and processes that can be applied to any government organization and be practiced by business leaders to help them fundamentally change their governing philosophies. His new book, "Quality and General Welfare Codification," is the accumulation of his research and findings.

"Our government and modern businesses run the country based solely on the idea of maximizing profit, which often comes at the detriment of a quality product and puts the care of human beings as unimportant," Haxhi said. "We should be focusing on maximizing the general welfare of our people, not how to turn them into the highest number of dollars."

"Quality and General Welfare Codification" aims to help government officials, business executives and the educators who shape our future generations come to an objective understanding of quality, which will improve communities and the lives of citizens. This way the ideals of good can become the benchmark for success in life rather than just money.
