"Despite spending hundreds of millions of dollars on suicide awareness and prevention, the Department of Defense reports an increasing suicide rate among veterans to an average of 22 per day," says Selden. "'The Suicide Solution' rethinks suicide from the ground up, from the point of view of a suicidal with a track record for saving lives."
Ultimately, the book serves as a guide to help those who feel suicidal find hope and restore the lives they wish to lead, as well as help all readers understand what compels an individual toward suicide in order to foster a sense of compassion.
