VG Publishing announces the pending release of sequel to The Last Summer by 15 year old novelist Jacquelyn Eubanks. The Award winning, Best-selling novelist will release The Last Time in early summer. The Last Summer which is a 2012 USA Book News Award Finalist and the first in The Last Summer Series.

The Last Summer takes place in 1955 in small town Georgia. The Last Time begins in the fall 1955 in upstate New York. The heroine, Charley (short for Charlotte) moves from Georgia to New York when her grandfather becomes ill. Charley also faces the challenges of a new high school, making new friends, overcoming bullying, challenging racial biases and dealing with her beloved grandfather whose health continues to decline. The one constant is her love for baseball.

Fans of The Last Summer will once again fall in love with the rich characters of The Last Time. This heartwarming novel examines the value of friendship, family and faith while Charley struggles to find her place in the world.
