There is a wealth of information available for those seeking to improve their health, but how do you know which sources to trust? According to gastroenterologist Dr. M. Frank Lyons II, some of the most common nutritional guidelines put forth, such as the food pyramid and MyPlate are deeply flawed. For nearly three decades, Lyons has worked with patients to reverse the trend of poor metabolic health though tailored nutritional plans. He now shares his findings and research in "The Lyons Lifestyle: The Seven Hardest (And Easiest) Steps to a Healthy Body."

"The Lyons Lifestyle" is a not a fad diet or quick fix to waistline issues. Instead Lyons combines over 20 years of study and dietary trials and error, to highlight the numerous health issues facing Americans due to poor food choices. He provides a blueprint for healthy eating, outlining essential nutrients for the body and educating readers on which foods are vital for everyday health.

Dr. Lyons also shares how dietary recommendations from governmental organizations and big food companies have led to the spread of misinformation. He traces the root cause of common metabolic issues such as, acid reflux and diabetes, to misleading dietary standards.

"I've been witness to the adverse effects nutritional misinformation can have on the body," Lyons said. "Therefore, I've worked with my patients to produce practical guidelines that will have a noticeable and positive impact on your health. The Lyons Lifestyle is a culmination of all my years of hands-on experience to improve my patient's health."
