Dennis Fox grew up around trucks. His Dad and Grandpa used trucks in their business's back in the 1940's. Fox sat on his Dad's lap and steered their old semi furniture van down the old highways. He would watch the big tachometer in the dashboard, and tell him when to shift gears. Watching the 28 foot furniture van following him in the mirrors was a kick, and evidently got into his blood. He began driving trucks at the age of 19 in 1959. His book shows his progress, knowledge, and maturing over the years. Fox has operated every type of commercial vehicle there is, transporting practically every commodity our society uses. With this experience he became a Truck Driving School Instructor for the ten years before he retired. He felt the need to teach a few to operate trucks well, and follow in his footsteps.
