In "Someday: The Excuses We Tell Ourselves" (published by Archway Publishing), author David E. Lash aims to get readers to look at themselves honestly and without excuses, acknowledging that they are where they are in life because of their belief systems.

"It's a book that started out as just a bucket-list item to complete, but then I quickly found it as a way to truly organize my life processes," says Lash. "Knowing many other people struggle with 'life-happens' events, my hope is that others may be able to pull a few things from it that they can apply into their own lives."

Divided into two parts, the book is meant to be a quick, daily read. The first half covers the life lessons and insights Lash gleaned as a child growing up in Muncie, Indiana. Lash's personal journey demonstrates to readers that all struggles are surmountable, no matter how hopeless they may seem. The second half delves into how to better understand oneself and discover the most-realized version of the self.

An excerpt from "Someday":
Don't short change your life, just because you believe it has to be the way it's always been! You can change any part of it, right now by deciding. Take action! Start on small things and work your way up to the harder items, as you feel your circle increase. The key, though, is to actually take action. Just like a car is a great tool to get you from point "A" to "B", if you never take action by pushing on the gas pedal, it will just sit there and go nowhere. Sound familiar?
