Author and Wine Celebrity Edward 'Doc' Finstein Makes Appearance at Niagara Wineries Today

Today, August 17, Edward Finstein, aka "The Wine Doctor," will be making an appearance at the Pillitteri Estates Winery, and later in the month (August 31st) at the Vineland Estates Winery, both in the Niagara area. The award winning author of "Ask the Wine Doctor" has made his debut in fiction with the murder mystery title "Pinot Envy."

The new book features Woody Robins, a bon vivant wine guru hot on the trail of a missing bottle of red. The disappearance of the rare burgundy, formerly in the collection of Napoleon Bonaparte, sets off a chain of events that drags Woody down a crooked path replete with deceit, blackmail, and even a murder. Tested by a colorful cast of characters and plunged into the shady world of the mob, "Pinot Envy" follows the hero down a dark red trail from Napa Valley to San Francisco.

Finstein is an internationally recognized wine expert and frequent radio and television personality, as well as a columnist for magazine and periodicals including Elite Wine, Food & Travel, Dolce Vita Magazine, City Life and more. He has made a career of sharing wine's finest features with a wide audience on air and off. As a Professor of Wine at George Brown College, School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts and one of the few wine appraisers in Canada, his expertise is renowned. Having penned the acclaimed non-fiction "Ask The Wine Doctor," Finstein was perfectly poised to bring his passion into the world of fiction.
