Many books have been written about the Vietnam War. But author JP Thomas believes that the true story behind it should be revealed. This belief prompted him to write "The Ghosts of Devils Island" (published by Xlibris AU).

This book explains in detail what took place after the war in Vietnam. The details of this story are actual events that took place but the names of the people have been changed for security reasons, as many of the people that were there at the time may wish to leave it all behind, and try to forget what happened, moving on with their lives.

"I believe my story will shock a lot of people, it will upset a lot, it will disappoint a lot and may even anger a lot, but I do believe it should be told," Thomas says. "What I have been involved in, has haunted me for over the last 20 years. For me, I wish it was possible to forget that any of these events had ever happened."

Thomas believes that people have the right to know what went on in Vietnam and that it not be clouded by any political ideas. "The Ghosts of Devils Island" is his story as it happened in such a crucial time in history. He claims to have no intention to cause further animosity or conflict to the parties that were involved.
