Author Katherine Dietzel DuTremble shares her poetry and paintings for the first time to the publishing world in "Songs from My Heart" (published by Xlibris). In this collection of original writings, readers will be able to find inspiration, insight and love.

This illustrated book reveals poems that mirror the author's thoughts, musings and reflections. She invites readers to enter her romantic world and explore the emotions that dwell in their hearts. It is her hope that they realize how feelings, good or bad, play a vital role in helping them navigate through this "push button" age where everything seems so non-personal. Through this delightful compilation of prose and visual art, they will be able to relate their true feelings and let them burst free from their hearts.

An excerpt from the poem, Songs from My Heart:
The songs from my heart fly into my feelings
On the wings of yesterday...
As a fleeting shadow of the past.
Songs that have become my sweet exile...
Sung by an ethereal invisible choir
on chords too minor for the angels...

Evocative and insightful, "Songs from My Heart" lets readers ponder about life, love, loss, rebirth and the many feelings that will let them pave their way through life.

About the Author
Katherine Dietzel DuTremble has been an artist her entire life. At the tender age of seven, she began her artistic adventures at West Point, New York's historic Trophy Point, while her father was the head football coach at the army's premiere military academy. She drew and painted all through her early years and still has the very first painting she ever did in her studio today. She finished her studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, majoring in printmaking with a minor in American literature. Also fascinated by the written word and how one can create a vivid image with somewhat less than the proverbial one thousand words, she has compiled this grouping of written works. She has been working as a professional and award-winning artist for more than 25 years and has enjoyed the patronage of clients around the United States as well as internationally.
