Casting has been finalized for this production that will run from July 10 through the 22nd.
POTO's Brad Little will play Javert*. I'll not jump the gun to announce any other casting until it's officially announced. But the casting is solid. I have requested interviews with a few of the leads.
I have to say that I'm very proud of the person who will be playing Fantine :) I don't usually plan that far in advance but I wouldn't mind a trip to see this!

Apparently all of the contracts are not signed. I just heard back from Sacramento MT. They will forward an official press release when it's ready and I will share that.
Nice guesswork! But, after one hairy experience, and a little more to risk, I'm choosing to respect actors/creative teams until it's official.
I did hear back from Brad Little this morning, from Singapore. He has agreed to do an interview (which is long overdue!). So I'll be posting a "questions from readers" a bit later.
SUCH a strange choice for Marius. He was surprisingly good as Radames in Aida last year...but he just seems too, well, big and hunky for Marius. Makes me wonder what Enjolras will look like!
Sometimes actors jump the gun and post on their blogs, etc. when a role verbally looks promising or perhaps they are "offered" the role. Other actors tell their friends, family and they share the good news.(I was guilty of a premature announcment just one time and it was a miscommuication that will not happen again, I promise you).
The reality is that often these actors do get cast...but if the contract is not signed, it's not a certainty. The smart actors hold out until both parties put all the cards on the table contractually. Discretion does have its place and wise actors know the value of waiting till the ink is dry. Things can fall apart very quickly and it happens to the best of people.
I just love I dreamed a dream by the new Fantine. I just wish I could be there to see her.
In my heart, I found the answered dream,
and in my soul I found the song, and in my friends
I found the magic, the love,
the moon up above- they were mine, all mine, all along..!
