About Mario Frangoulis: Mario Frangoulis has released more than 15 solo albums and 10 compilation albums. At the age of 17, Frangoulis was discovered by legendary producer, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, and offered the role of Marius in Les Miserables in London's West End. His run as Marius was exceptionally received by audiences and critics alike. A short time later, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber cast Frangoulis to play the role of Raoul in Phantom of the Opera. In the year 2000, he was chosen out of a pool of 4,000 actors to play the lead role of Tony in West Side Story at the world-famous Teatro a la Scala in Milan, Italy. Frangoulis is the winner of the Maria Callas Prize, the Pavarotti Scholarship and has been mentored by opera greats Carlo Bergonzi and Marilyn Horne. His powerful vocals and passionate performing style earned Frangoulis the honor of being chosen as the ONLY private student of acclaimed tenor, Alfredo Kraus. After traveling the world with Kraus, Frangoulis continued his studies at the Julliard School of Music in New York.
