BROADWAY BARES 23: UNITED STRIPS OF AMERICA, a randy road trip of modern-day burlesque featuring 220 of New York's sexiest dancers, raised an all-time record high for the fourth year in a row on Sunday, hitting $1,430,241 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. From sea to shining sea, this year's BROADWAY BARES crisscrossed the country as the 23rd annual edition of the immensely popular modern-day burlesque show delivers BROADWAY BARES 23: UNITED STRIPS OF AMERICA. Produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, BROADWAY BARES 23 arrived June 23, for two performances only - at 9:30 PM & Midnight - at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street, NYC). On June 26, TKTS in Times Square, the same-day discount theatre outlet for Broadway and Off Broadway shows celebrated 40 years in Times Square. Beginning at 11am, there was a special celebration in honor of TKTS' 40th Anniversary behind the TKTS Booth on Broadway and 47th Street. Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein and Broadway star Julie Halston made special appearances to help with the festivities. Check out full coverage of the celebration here!

Douglas Hodge stars as Willy Wonka in the brand-new production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. Directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes, the story is brought to life with music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics byScott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (Grammy winners for Hairspray; Smash), with a book by award-winning playwright and adaptor David Greig (The Bacchae; Tintin In Tibet). Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has announced that the Kander and Ebb review The World Goes 'Round will begin performances tonight, June 27th. The musical revue features a star studded cast including Michelle Aravena, Janine DiVita, Tony Award nominee Tom Hewitt,David Josefsberg, and Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner with direction by Don Stephenson. Goodman Theatre's world premiere of The Jungle Book opens on July 1 and, with a second extension week just added, now runs through August 11. Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman reimagines Walt Disney's 1967 animated hit into a wholly original new work for the stage, drawing from both the film as well as Rudyard Kipling's 1894 collection of stories set in the Indian jungle and featuring original Indian-inspired music and dance. Just yesterday, the stars of Broadway's biggest box office hit of the year Motown The Musical appeared at a special live performance at The Apple Store in SoHo to celebrate the Universal Music Enterprises (UME) new Original Broadway Cast Recording. In celebration of the 2000th performance of FUERZA BRUTA NYC, the cast and crew took part in a special cake cutting ceremony to kick off an unforgettable and historic performance on June 27th, 2013, at the Daryl Roth Theatre. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out photo coverage here!

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the world premiere of The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin by Steven Levenson, directed by Scott Ellis. The cast includes Christopher Denham as "James Durnin," Lisa Emery as "Karen Brown-Canedy",Sarah Goldberg as "Katie Nicholson," David Morse as "Tom Durnin," and Rich Sommer as "Chris Wyatt".
