Audience members at Friday's performance of Something Rotten received quite the treat when Adam Pascal, currently appearing as Rotten's very own pretty boy front man, William Shakespeare, performed One Song Glory to benefit fundraising efforts for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Pascal first performed the famous tune on Broadway when he originated the role of Roger in the original production of Jonathan Larson's iconic musical about a group of friends and artists struggling to survive in New York City in the midst of the AIDS crisis.

In addition to his turn as Roger in the Off-Broadway, Broadway and London Productions of Rent, Adam Pascal was the original Radames in Broadway's Aida, and the final Emcee in the Roundabout's original Broadway revival production of Cabaret. Most recently, Pascal played Chad in Broadway's Disaster!. Adam can be heard on numerous cast album and movie soundtracks including Rent, School of Rock and Chess Live at The Royal Albert Hall, along with Josh Groban and Idina Menzel. He has 3 solo CDs, "Model Prisoner," "Civilian" and "Blinding Light." He is the co-owner, along with his wife Cybele, of the Gluten and Allergen free packaged foods company Cybele's Free To Eat which can be found in thousands of supermarkets across the country.

The completely original new musical Something Rotten! is directed and choreographed by Tony Award® winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award® winner Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award® nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell.
