Riverside Opera and Richmond County Orchestra Seek Young Staten Island Musicians

Riverside Opera Company and Richmond County Orchestra will have a joint performance with an opening number by a young SI musician. Auditions for an opportunity for a Young Musician solo performance are to be held this month. See below!

Calling all Staten Island young musicians, instrumental (this includes pianists, guitar players, flutists and others) or vocal, ages 12 to 18 will be held on Thursday, July 28th, starting at 4pm at the Staten Island Conservatory of Music.

Winners will open for the Richmond County Orchestra and Riverside Opera Company at a public concert at the Noble Maritime Collection on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden on September 17th.

In addition there will be presented the following prizes: 1st prize $300, second prize $200, third prize $100.

A professional piano accompanist will be available during auditions.

To receive an audition time, musicians should email a resume/bio including age, instrument Orchestra or band and or vocal type, i.e. Pop, Broadway or Opera to richmondcountyorch@gmail.com.
