Romy and Michele are bringing the '90s straight to the stage! The world premiere musical adaptation of the 1997 cult comedy film ROMY & MICHELE'S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION has set a Summer 2017 debut at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre.

Not only that, but the two lead actresses (pictured, left) took to Instagram to confirm their roles -- first played by Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow on the big screen.

THE GODLBERGS' A.J. Michalka and L.A. stage actress Stephanie Wall will play the iconic pair, 'Romy' and 'Michele', respectively, when the new musical hits the boards in Washington.

As announced earlier today, the production will run June 8 - July 2, 2017, featuring a book by Robin Schiff who penned the original screenplay, and music & lyrics by Gwendolyn Sanford and Brandon Jay. ROCK OF AGES' director Kristin Hanggi will helm the show, which will feature choreography by Kelly Devine.

The official description of the musical reads: "Romy and Michele are two inseparable best friends whose relationship is put to the test when they invent fake careers to impress people at their 10-year class reunion. Regularly featured in media roundups of the top tales of female friendships including Cosmopolitan, Indiewire, Popsugar, Bustle and more, the story of Romy & Michele is, like, totally the coolest thing since the invention of Post-its."

ROMY & MICHELE'S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION will be the 18th new musical that 5th Avenue has produced over the past 16 years.
