Photo Tribute: Michael Jackson Remembered

Michael Jackson, music industry icon, passed away yesterday, June 25th, after suffering a suspected heart attack. He was 50 years old.

To remember the legendary Jackson, BWW Photographer Walter McBride has assembled a collection of his favorite photos that he was honored to be able to take of the music superstar.

The official Los Angeles coroner, Fred Corral, reported that Jackson was pronounced dead after arriving at UCLA Medical Centre in full cardiac arrest. The paramedics who responded to a 911 call to the singer's home in Los Angeles said that he had stopped breathing by the time they arrived.

In a phenomenal, unparalleled career, Michael Jackson sold more than 750 million records, had 13 number one singles - more than any other male artist - and is one of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice; once as a member of The Jackson 5 in 1997 and later as a solo artist in 2001. His numerous other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records, including one for "Thriller" as the world's best-selling album of all time - 100 million copies and counting.
