Disney's The Lion King will welcome back Patrick Page to the role of 'Scar' tonight at the Minskoff Theatre.

Page recently starred on Broadway as 'The Grinch' in Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas—The Musical. Page's other Broadway credits include Julius Caesar, Beauty and the Beast, The Kentucky Cycle, and A Christmas Carol. A respected classical actor, he has been seen recently as 'Macbeth' opposite Kelly McGillis, and as 'Iago' opposite Avery Brooks' Othello, both under the direction of Michael Kahn at Washington's Shakespeare Theatre Company. For his 'Iago' he received DC's coveted Helen Hayes Award for Best Leading Actor. Page is also a playwright whose play, Swansong, was presented this season at Off-Broadway's Summer Play Festival on Theatre Row.

The Lion King, directed by Julie Taymor and choreographed by Garth Fagan, features music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, a book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, sets by Richard Hudson, costumes by Taymor, mask and puppet design by Taymor and Michael Curry, and sound design by Tony Meola.

Since opening on Broadway, The Lion King has played a total of seven productions currently running worldwide: New York, London, Hamburg, Tokyo, Seoul, and two U.S. national tours with upcoming productions in Johannesburg and Paris.

The Lion King plays: Wednesday through Saturday at 8PM, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 1:30 PM and 6 PM.  Please check listings for holiday schedules.  Running time for the production is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.  Tickets are available at the Minskoff Theatre Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling Ticketmaster at (212) 307-4747 or visit www.DisneyOnBroadway.com
