Monday, Aug. 24 is the release date for the debut EP from My Cruel Goro (Italy-Iceland), which Impose Magazine says is loaded with "a plethora of dirty garage pop styles.. that gives you a head rush" and referencing The Ramones, while The Sound of Confusion refers to The Clash, The Stranglers, The Jam, Ash, Arctic Monkeys and Weezer.

The first single from this EP 'Crapford' is premiering in The Sound of Confusion and the second 'Glue Buzz' is premiering in The Record Stache. The EP is available for streaming via Bandcamp or Soundcloud, and for download in MP3 or WAV.

Malka is releasing a debut EP 'The Constant State', complete with college radio charting, high level reviews and a full-on endorsement from Creation Records' Joe Foster . Today we highlight the 2nd single from this release 'Wolves and Sheep' and request any features and playlisting. Recommended if you like Pale Saints, Lush, Chapterhouse, M83, My Bloody Valentine, and Explosions in the Sky.

24 August 2015 My Cruel Goro brings Italy - Iceland rock to the forefront with debut EP
FOR LOVERS OF: Ash, Arctic Monkeys, The Fratellis, The Hives and early LIbertines, Dinosaur Jr., Weezer

Hailing from Italy and currently based between there and Reykjavík, Iceland, three-piece My Cruel Goro present their debut eponymous EP, featuring 3 tracks chalked full of early 70s energetic Brit rock with punk leanings, yet through the prism of a thick modern soundbed. It's no wonder they are getting so much attention from the national press in Italy and that bloggers have referenced such paramount artists as The Clash, The Stranglers, The Jam, Ash, The Fratellis, Arctic Monkeys and Weezer.

My Cruel Goro is Andrea Maraschi (vocals, guitar, programming), Andrea Marcellini (bass) and Tommaso Adanti (drums). The first two met nine years ago through a mutual friend and have been making music together ever since. My Cruel Goro arose from the ashes of their previous project. "We couldn't find reliable musicians to form a proper group with a stable lineup. Everytime it ended up being the two of us: Andrea and I," explains Andrea Marcellini. "We were joined by drummer Tommaso and formed the band in 2014". "We wanted the EP to sound as powerful and raw as our live concerts. We simply tried to leverage what we did best: energy, distortion, grit and a sprinkling of electronics if necessary," says Andrea Maraschi. "You may either like or dislike it, but it's flesh and bones, and that's what you want to see on the stage, isn't it? The inner imperfection and veracity of being human."

These same concepts have been interwoven into their music videos, all of which are produced by Massimo Scoposki and are being revealed one by one. The video for 'Crapford' is premiering in The Sound of Confusion and the video for 'Glue Buzz' is premiering in The Record Stache. The My Cruel Goro EP will be available on Bandcamp as a free download. The video for 'Clash' will also be released soon.

"Clash" crashes on to the scene with a thrashing sense of existence, as "Crapford" finds the three piece engaging in some clever and swift power pop chord dynamics, while "Glue Buzz" gives you a head rush that updates the highs and euphoria of providing an update to The Ramones' classic adhesive huffing ode "Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue" - Impose Magazine

Malka
The Constant State NYC psych dream-gazers MALKA releases debut EP The Constant State

"Very soundtracky experience. Redolent in many ways of Gong and the whole European freer and communal music movements, including Krautrock... gives the impression of a phantom poppy edge, like a comp of the hits all these bands had back in the day...in an alternative world :-) there is a Mogwai vibe too, but fresher somehow" - Joe Foster (Creation Records)

FOR FANS OF: Pale Saints, Lush, Chapterhouse, M83, My Bloody Valentine, Explosions in the Sky

New York City-based psychedelic dreampop band MALKA present the second single from their debut EP, The Constant State, entitled 'Wolves and Sheep'. The single, like the other tracks in this collection, takes listeners on a genre-melding journey, ebbing and flowing through the realms of spacey dreampop, post-rock, shoegaze, and psychedelic rock. The first single from this EP was 'Mientras Se Respira', highlighted with a surreal trippy video.

This EP was recorded at both APT Studio (NYC) and Elohino studio (NJ), mixed by Darko Saric, and mastered at 825 Studios by Grammy Award-winning engineer Butch Jones (Madonna, Talking Heads, Iggy Pop, The Gun Club, B-52s).

The songs are evocative both musically and lyrically, touching on metaphysical, existential and interpersonal subject matter with an honesty that resonates to an emotional core. Their music is a reflection of the triumph and tragedy of the world, compelling us to look deeper into the realms of our consciousness. Malka is trying to stretch the concept of songs to make them sound more like emotional lapses of time.

The vocal melodies assume an instrumental form and transcend language, adding transparency to bilingual Spanish-English lyrics shared between three lead vocalists.

The Constant State is on Bandcamp, as well as iTunes and streaming through Spotify, Rdio, etc. The single 'Mirame' is available as a free download via Noisetrade at http://noisetrade.com/malkanyc/mirame
