Max Minghella to Play 'Richie Castellano' on THE MINDY PROJECT

Max Minghella (The Social Network) is headed to THE MINDY PROJECT. Series creator and star Mindy Kaling revealed the news on her Instagram account, along with a picture (left) of the new co-stars.

In its sophomore season on Fox, THE MINDY PROJECT is a single-camera comedy from Emmy Award-nominated writer/producer and New York Times best-selling author Kaling ("The Office") that follows a skilled OB/GYN (Kaling) trying to balance both her personal and professional life.

Cast of the comedy includes Kaling as Mindy; Messina as Danny; Zoe Jarman as Betsy; Ed Weeks as Jeremy; Ike Barinholtz as Morgan; and Beth Grant as Beverly.

The Mindy Project is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment in association with Universal Television. The series is created and written by Mindy Kaling. Kaling, Howard Klein, Matt Warburton, Michael Spiller and Jack Burditt are executive producers.

Minghella's upcoming big screen projects include Hippie Hippie Shake, About Alex and Not Safe for Work. He has also recently appeared in Horns, The Internship, The Darkest Hour and The Ides of March, as well as The Social Network.
