MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD was the most-watched Sunday show on January 29, according to Nielsen data, marking the network broadcast's second straight week at #1 across the board. Sunday's program kicked off MTP's yearlong celebration of its 70th anniversary, featuring interviews with Reince Priebus, chief of staff to the president, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and former moderator Tom Brokaw.

With 4.366 million total viewers, MTP beat CBS' "Face the Nation" by +60,000 viewers and ABC's "This Week" by +722,000 viewers. This is the show's second biggest audience in eight years (since January 18, 2009).

MTP was also the #1 Sunday show in the demo most coveted by news advertisers; 1.387 million viewers aged 25-54 tuned into the program. MTP was the only Sunday show to grow in the demo week over week, topping CBS by +264,000 demo viewers and ABC by +304,000 demo viewers. To note, CBS continues to rate only for the first half-hour of its hour-long program.

Compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP grew +22 percent in total viewers and +35 percent in the key demo - gaining the most out of all Sunday shows across the board.

For the month of January, MTP was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board and had its best monthly audiences in eight years. MTP averaged 4.216 million viewers, beating CBS by +25,000 viewers and ABC by +404,000 viewers. In the key demo, MTP averaged 1.240 million viewers: +191,000 more than CBS and +164,000 more than ABC. January marked the 12thstraight month in which MTP led the competition in the demo.

MTP continued its streak as the #1 Sunday show in the influential Washington, D.C. market, winning its 83rd consecutive broadcast.
