The current national tour of EVITA kicked off earlier this Fall to rave reviews and rapt audiences and one of the featured players of the hit company discusses her memorably one-song role in the show in a new interview - Krystina Alabado as The Mistress.

"I mean, I get emotional just thinking about it!" Alabado says of her remarkable Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice ballad.

"I am so thankful. I am so happy to be singing it," she relates of the tune.

"It's like a quiet moment in the show - this show is like this rock opera; so much at you the whole time... but, I get a minute to breathe and sing this beautiful song," Alabado says of the secret power behind the sequence.

As for the famous title of the show itself and the popularity of EVITA around the world. "People know about the show - everybody knows 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina'... it's something that a lot of people enjoy," Alabado asserts.

Starring Josh Young and Caroline Bowman, the cast of EVITA also includes Sean MacLaughlin as Juan Peron, Desi Oakley as the alternate for Eva and Christopher Johnstone as Magaldi.

The 2013 national tour of EVITA is directed by Michael Grandage, based on his West End and Broadway revival productions, featuring choreography by Rob Ashford.

The official description of EVITA is as follows: "Eva Perón used her beauty and charisma to rise meteorically from the slums of Argentina to the presidential mansion as First Lady. She won international acclaim and adoration from her own people as a champion of the poor, while glamour, power and greed made her the world's first major political celebrity."
