The Farmhouse known as Kintyre may look ordinary to onlookers, but it holds a secret that only the women who love it can discover. Janet Dowler's new book, "Kintyre" (published by iUniverse), tells the story of a beautiful old farmhouse with a magical secret.

Throughout the 20th century, three women live in Kintyre with their families: Fiona has lived there since the house was built; Sara comes to the house as a happy bride and turns into a lonely, eccentric recluse; and Kathryn is strongly drawn to the house without understanding why.

"In Kintyre," each woman tells the story of how the gifts the house gave to her affected her life.

"I hope my readers will enjoy this rather gentle journey through the 20th century and recognize that the threads binding families and loved ones together are complicated and may be even stronger than they had imagined," Dowler says.
