Staten Island's Galt MacDermot, best known as the composer of the 1960s rock musical Hair, will celebrate his 80th birthday Thursday, December 18th, Veterans Memorial Hall , Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island.
A reception and concert in his honor will include MacDermot's classical, popular, and jazz works performed by the Staten Island Philharmonic and the "Hair" band. Assemblyman Matthew Titone is expected to be in attendance.

HAIR's Caissie Levy to Teach The Musical Theater Audition Class in Nov/Dec The Musical Theatre Audition is a 3- week session that covers all aspects of the audition process. We will take you through proper audition etiquette, choosing and preparing material, and presenting your best audition possible. You will have the opportunity to not only travel through this process, but to observe and learn from fellow artists in their processes as well.
