Broadway Sessions w/ Ben D Welcomes HAIR's Moauro & Cast of YANK!, 3/9

Broadway Sessions w/ Ben D is thrilled to welcome the cast of the Off-Broadway hit Yank! and Hair's John Moauro, Tuesday, March 9th.

Set during World War II, Yank! chronicles the relationship between two servicemen long before "Don't-ask-don't-tell" was part of the national discussion. With a lively score inspired by the pop sounds of the 1940's, Yank! captures the spirit and exuberance of the era as it explores questions of prejudice, courage and survival. An homage to Hollywood's "it-takes-one-of-every-kind" platoon movies and to 1940s Broadway. It tells the story of Stu-a photographer for Yank magazine-and Mitch, an Army Private, who fall in love and struggle to survive in a time and place where the odds are stacked against theM. Starring Nancy Anderson (Wonderful Town, A Class Act), Jeffry Denman (White Christmas, The Producers), Ivan Hernandez (Romantic Poetry, The Fantasticks), Bobby Steggert (Ragtime, 110 in the Shade) with Andrew Durand (Spring Awakening), Zak Edwards, Todd Faulkner, Denis Lambert (A Chorus Line),Joseph Medeiros (Guys and Dolls, Grease), David Perlman, Christopher Ruth and Tally Sessions (South Pacific). John Moauro made his Broadway debut in the recent Tony winning revival of Hair. Moauro was featured in the 2008 Shakespeare in the Park cast of Hair and will be joining fellow original cast members in the upcoming West End production.

Broadway Sessions w/ Ben D is described as an evening of musical performances, games and comedy featuring a new Broadway guest each week. It is hosted by actor Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida, Footloose). The show takes place every Tuesday evening at midtown nightclub Therapy (348 west 52nd street) at 11 pm. There is no cover charge for this event.
