Two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway superstar Sutton Foster joins with Broadway favorite Colin Donnell in a new production of the cult musical VIOLET later this season, directed by Leigh Silverman, and a look at the actors and director in rehearsals is now available to view via social media.

Donnell took to Twitter earlier this week to post a behind the scenes pic of himself alongside Foster and director Leigh Silverman.

Captioning the humorous image, Donnell wrote, "It's the end of the 3rd week here at #Violet. @silverleigh @suttonlenore @rtc_nyc".

The official description of VIOLET is as follows: "Two-time Tony Award® winner Sutton Foster returns to Roundabout in the highly anticipated Broadway debut of the musical Violet, following the acclaimed concert performance at City Center Encores! Off-Center. Winner of the Drama Critics' Circle Award and Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical when it premiered Off-Broadway, Violet features music by Tony nominee Jeanine Tesori (Caroline, or Change, Fun Home) and book and lyrics by Brian Crawley (A Little Princess). The incredible cast includes Colin Donnell (Roundabout's Anything Goes, Jersey Boys), Alexander Gemignani ("Homeland," Sunday in the Park with George) and Tony nominee Joshua Henry (The Scottsboro Boys, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess). Leigh Silverman (Chinglish, Well) directs. With a score of show-stopping anthems ranging from American-roots to folk to gospel, Violet tells the story of a young woman's quest for beauty amidst the image-obsessed landscape of the 1960s. Facially disfigured in a childhood accident, Violet dreams of a miraculous transformation through the power of faith. Convinced that a televangelist in Oklahoma can heal her, she hops a Greyhound bus and starts the journey of a lifetime. Along the way, Violet forms unlikely friendships with her fellow riders, who teach her about beauty, love, courage and what it means to be an outsider. Violet is a thought-provoking, original musical that challenges you to look below the surface. Don't miss your opportunity to see it on Broadway for the first time ever!"
