This week, Seth's on a "mission" to get the backstage scoop from all 4 Tony nominated stars of BOOK OF MORMON. Josh Gad, Andrew Ranells, Nikki M. James and Rory O'Malley share their thoughts just days before the big night!

Andrew Ranells joined the show's cast only a year ago, but once he auditioned for the role of Elder Price, it was obvious that the 'Price' was right. "They flew me out to LA to see if Josh and I read well together and got a long together and it wasn't a very long audition for us," he explains. "There were other TV actors and pop stars there and we were all in this weird rehearsal space in West Hollywood. It was very strange."

"I will say this," added Gad, "We had been in a 3 ½ year process of rotating doors of 'Elder Prices', all of them phenomenal but all of them not quite what the creators had envisioned. The second that Andrew walked in the door, it was like God said 'I found your Price'. He was like that perfect Mormon specimen. He was good looking, had all the sex appeal we needed to distract everyone from me and my obvious Judaism, and the second he opened his mouth and started doing it, it was like his comic timing was just incredible. I remember Trey [Parker, the show's co-creator] kicked me under the table he was so excited about the discovery."

Rory O'Malley still has trouble believing he was even eligible for the Tony nomination of Best Supporting Actor in a Musical. "I was in the Ensemble at first and they kept saying, 'try this line', and 'let's make him the openly closeted one', and 'throw a pink vest on him!' It's been three years of line by line, my part coming together. I wasn't even made a Principle until this past summer."

"And I fought that by the way," Gad hilariously interrupts. "When I heard, I fought that tooth and nail!"

Rudetsky couldn't help trying to create some tension among the seemingly close-knit group of actors by questioning Ranells and Gad about their competing nominations for Best Actor in a Musical. Ever the comic, Gad replied, "Well, I have been known to put some stool softener in some of Andrew's drinks!"
