Inon Barnatan is a true poet of the keyboard: refined, searching, and unfailingly communicative. Cellist Alisa Weilerstein's passion, commitment and breathtaking technique combine with undeniable musicianship to make her one of today's most exciting artists. RiverCenter for the Performing Arts is proud to present these two world-renowned artists on the Bill Heard Theatre stage, tonight, March 27 at 7:30pm.

The pair will perform a varied and exciting program:

Debussy: Sonata for cello and piano

Schubert: Fantasia in C major, D. 934, Op. 159

Intermission

Auerbach: Seven Preludes (after Shostakovich: 24 Preludes, Op. 34)

Rachmaninov: Sonata in G minor for cello and piano, Op. 19

If you attended last year's Academy of St. Martin in the Fields concert, you were no doubt thrilled by the performances of these two artists.

Ticket holders will be seated on stage with these two amazing performers to witness what is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In 2010 Alisa Weilerstein became an exclusive recording artist for Decca Classics, the first cellist to be signed by the prestigious label in over 30 years, and in 2011 she was named a MacArthur "Genius Grant" Fellow.

Israeli pianist Inon Barnatan has recently been appointed New York Philharmonic's first Artist-in-Association. He will perform multiple times with the orchestra over the next several seasons, beginning with his subscription debut playing Ravel's Concerto in G with Alan Gilbert in 2014/15.

Tickets to this event range from $34 - $49 and can be purchased online at www.rivercenter.org, by phone at 706.256.3612, or in the Box Office, Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 5:30pm.
