Adam Devine to Join Zac Efron in MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES

According to Variety, Adam Devine (WORKAHOLICS, PITCH PERFECT) is officially in negotiations to join Zac Efron in 20th Century Fox and Chernin's upcoming comedy MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES.

The film follows "the story of two brothers who place an online ad to find dates for a wedding and the ad goes viral. Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O'Brien penned the script. Jake Szymanski will direct.

Devine is best known for his role as "Adam DeMamp" on COMEDY CENTRAL's hit comedy "Workaholics." His sketch-comedy group, Mail Order Comedy, Made up of Devine, Blake Anderson, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck, has headlined sold-out shows all over the nation. All four members also star on, write and produce "Workaholics." Devine recently starred in the Universal comedy "Pitch Perfect," which follows the competitive world of collegiate a cappella and also stars Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, and Rebel Wilson. Devine performed in the "New Faces" show at the Montreal Comedy Festival, shortly after which he was cast opposite Jon Hederand Diane Keaton in the Warner Bros. movie "Mamma's Boy." He also appeared on COMEDY CENTRAL's "Live at Gotham," TBS' "Frank TV," ABC's "Better Off Ted" and NBC's "Community." Additionally, was a recurring guest star on ABC's "Samantha Who?" and was also seen in the upcoming cult favorite "Arrested Development" on Netflix.
