The Olivier Awards with Mastercard, the UK's most prestigious stage honours, have today announced that one of the country's finest comics, Jason Manford, will host this year's ceremony. The 2017 awards are set to be the biggest yet, as they make their debut at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 9 April.

Nominations were announced earlier this week and can be viewed in full at OlivierAwards.com.

Jason Manford is an award-winning comedian, broadcaster and actor. His stage credits include the multi-Olivier Award-winning production of Sweeney Todd as well as the acclaimed UK tour of The Producers and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. His numerous television credits include 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Live At The Apollo.

Jason Manford said: "Hosting the Oliviers is the closest I'm going to get to getting one! It's such a huge honour to be hosting this prestigious and exciting event and I can't wait to do it!"

Tickets to theatre's biggest night are available exclusively for Mastercard cardholders and are available via priceless.com.

The awards will be broadcast in the UK and worldwide via ITV, Magic and Facebook. Scheduling will be announced shortly.
