'WHITE HOUSE GHOSTS: An Evening with Presidential Speechwriters' Comes to Woolly Mammoth, 6/24

By:

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company will host White House Ghosts: An Evening with Presidential Speechwriters from Bush Sr. to Obama which will include a special 7pm performance of Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's "must-see" (Washington City Paper) high-energy political farce, The Totalitarians.

The evening will begin at 6pm with an open bar pre-show reception and culminate with a post-show discussion and meet-and-greet featuring the guests of honor: former presidential speechwriters Mary Kate Cary (for President George H.W. Bush), Jeff Shesol (for President Clinton), Noam Neusner (for President George W. Bush), Adam Frankel (for President Obama), and veteran reporter Robert Schlesinger, author of White House Ghosts: Presidents and their Speechwriters.

Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase their own copies of White House Ghosts, have them signed by the author and, following the performance, hear the panel of guests engage in a discussion on the origins and power of political rhetoric, informed by their experiences writing for our most recent presidents.

Tickets for the evening, which include admittance to the open bar reception, performance, post-show discussion, and meet-and-greet, begin at $75 and can be purchased online at woollymammoth.net or by calling the Box Office at 202-393-3939.
