The Alden Theatre Presents The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon

By:

The Alden Theatre's original production of The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon is a madcap comedy that marries the classic stories of The Brothers Grimm with the comedy style of Monty Python. The show will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, and Saturday, Dec. 18. Tickets are $8, $5 for McLean tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

The fairytales of The Brothers Grimm are turned on their heads in this fast-paced, rollicking ride. The one-act show features local high school students including McLean High School's Samantha Downey, Clay Francis, Cassidy Kelty and Jack Maes, and Langley High School's Tyler Fritz. The students have been rehearsing the show since October and each actor plays six to eight characters. The show is appropriate for sixth-graders through adults.

Alden Theatre Youth Director Kathleen Herr is directing the show. Lighting design is by Alden Theatre Technical Director Jennifer Garrett; sound is by Assistant Technical Director Justin King.
