Staunch Theatre's NEPHRECTOMY to Play 2013 Capital Fringe Festival, 7/11-27

Staunch Theatre Company, a group of emerging theatre artists determined to create their own opportunities, will bring Nephrectomy to the 8th Annual Capital Fringe Festival, running July 11 - 28, 2013. Nephrectomy is a world premiere play, a dark comedy by Elizabeth Hagerty.

Three twenty-something mall employees have no work ethic, until a lie gets way out of hand. Love, friendship, and Star Wars references are pushed to the limit when ambition gets in the way. Be careful, someone might lose a kidney. (Rated R for cursing, kissing, and blood.)

The cast includes Michelle Norris, Lauren Padgett, and Josh Heard. The play is directed by Elizabeth Hagerty along with Assistant Director Tim Simon.

The production will run at the Gearbox. 1021 7th St NW DC, 3rd Floor. Same block as Fort Fringe, the intersection of 7th St and LT St, NW. Two blocks from the Gallery Place / Chinatown metro. On Thursday, July 11 at 10:00 pm, Saturday, July 13 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, July 20 at 4:30 pm, Wednesday, July 24 at 8:15 pm and Saturday, July 27 at 3:45pm. Though we are twenty-somethings ourselves, the members of Staunch Theatre Company are dedicated to our work. Our guiding principle is to stay staunch - never weaken, no matter what. We premier our own works because as young professionals we can, and do, create our own opportunities in the theatre community.
