SHOWTUNES & COCKTAILS Closes at The Jefferson
After a blockbuster year of big crowds and big voices, Show Tunes & Cocktails at The Jefferson begins its second year as DC's only monthly sing-a-long of theatre tunes.
Pianist extraordinaire Glenn Pearson, a mainstay of the Washington social scene, leads the open sing-a-longs in The Jefferson's Quill Bar with a vast repertoire of theatre music.
Upcoming Show Tunes & Cocktails will be held:
Monday, March 12 (7-10pm) - with special guests Jamie Eacker (Hairspray at Signature Theatre, A Christmas Carol at Ford's Theatre) and David Jennings (Chicago, Anything Goes at Toby's Dinner Theatre).During the last year, more than 1,000 area residents and visitors have flocked to this storied hotel to shed their inhibitions, connect with their inner diva, and belt out wonderful music with other theatre lovers and theatre makers.
In a setting both sophisticated yet casual, the evening also stars specialty cocktails and featured appetizers, with The Jefferson generously donating 20% of the proceeds to support the programs and services of theatreWashington. Discounted parking is available.
The Quill Bar at The Jefferson is located at 1200 16th Street, NW. Admission is FREE.
