Photo Flash: First Look at DISGRACED at NextStop Theatre
On Saturday September 9, 2017, NextStop Theatre Company, a professional black-box theatre near Reston Town Center, opened the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama "Disgraced" by Ayad Akhtar. In the play, audiences experience a New York City dinner party that becomes a powder-keg of prejudice and identity politics surrounding Muslim assimilation in America.

Jesse Bahmrah stars as Amir, a Pakistani-American who has sacrificed greatly to find success as a Manhattan corporate lawyer. Joining Bahmrah are actors Nahm Darr ("Abe"), Jordan Friend ("Isaac"), Chaela Phillips ("Jory"), and Jenna Rossman ("Emily").
The creative team includes Director Thembi Duncan, Set Designer Jack Golden, Costume Designer KrisTina Martin, Lighting Designer Jonathan Alexander, Sound Designer Kevin Alexander, Stage Manager Keta Newborn, Assistant Director Jessica Dubish, Assistant Stage Manager/Properties by Cheyanne Christopher, Costume Design Apprentice Marilyn Lopes, Master Electrician Jonathan Abolins, and Fight Choreographer Kristin Pilgrim.
Performances are Thursday through Sunday from September 7th to October 1st, 2017. General Admission tickets range from $17.50 to $55. Tickets are available online at www.NextStopTheatre.org or OvationTix at 866-811-4111. All seating is General Admission. Additional fees may apply. Performance popularity determines ticket prices: advance booking is strongly recommended.
